Jennifer (Jenny) Snape, PE is a co-founder and managing partner at Batture LLC and has over 15 years of experience in the engineering field. Ms. Snape discovered her passion for engineering in high school when she worked at an engineering and land surveying firm in Billings, Montana. Here she performed civil design calculations, traffic counts, land surveying, construction staking, construction inspections, and drafting. Jennifer held several internships during summer breaks from college at Tulane University. During her time at Tulane, Jennifer also worked part time as an intern at Carl E. Woodward in New Orleans completing estimations and structural designs. Jennifer has a wide range of project experience including the design of coastal erosion protection systems; structural design for both residential and commercial structures of renovations and new construction; civil site design for sites ranging from less than an acre to over 1000 acres; hydrologic and hydraulic modeling; stormwater management plans for urban, rural, and coastal systems; environmental consulting and due diligence studies; and permitting through federal, state, and local agencies. She has successfully managed and delivered projects for private and public clients, including the City of New Orleans, Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans, Plaquemines Parish, St. Bernard Parish, St. Tammany Parish, and others. At Batture LLC, she manages environmental, structural, and civil engineering projects. Ms. Snape serves on the boards of Groundwork New Orleans and Society of American Military Engineers as the Treasurer. She is an active member of Engineers Without Borders, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and several local interest groups. In 2016, Jennifer was acknowledged as a Woman of the Year by New Orleans City Business and as the Outstanding Young Alumni from the Tulane School of Science and Engineering.
